Rescue, a high-quality second-hand clothing and accessories store, has upgraded its real estate from Allston Village to 244 Newbury Street. The layout of the store is well organized and browser-friendly, and the shirts are even color coordinated. You can buy, sell or trade season-appropriate clothing for cash or store credit. Dare I say that Rescue is recession proof? A store like Rescue, where you get more fashion for your dollar, is a welcomed notion in this student dense town.

I tend to categorize “vintage clothing shopping” in the same daunting list as “antiquing”, but Rescue is a store that doesn’t drain the energy from my body. It is intimate enough to not intimidate the short-lived shopper but the selection is more than enough to excite every type of fashionista. The art on the walls is local as is mostly everything hanging on the racks, so come check out what Rescue is all about.
